Nkosi Mzolo, South African Canoe and Recreation Club (SCARC) Chairman and Coach, and former ADreach employee has undergone all the necessary courses and training to qualify and work as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Even though he has accepted a position as an EMT at the Rosebank Fire Department, he will still honour his commitment to the SCARC team and continue to represent SCARC in his capacity as Chairman and Coach.
In a bid to demonstrate their pride in Nkosi's sheer determination to advance himself, ADreach was more than willing to grant him all the necessary time off to complete his training. Furthermore, because of the value which he brings to the SCARC and ADreach team, Nkosi also continued to receive his full salary from ADreach during this time.
When asked what the ADreach SCARC initiative has done for him, as well as for those young people of Soweto, Nkosi responds saying, "Having this opportunity has benefitted me and all the young people involved more than you will know. Through SCARC we have been exposed to a side of life that we would never otherwise have experienced."
The truth of the matter is that the majority of these youngsters would more than likely never have learned how to swim at all if it weren't for their involvement with SCARC. Now some of the club's top athletes are even competing well at a local, national and even international level.

"ADreach is proud to be associated with Nkosi Mzolo and his journey to fulfill his career. He is clearly an excellent role model and mentor for the youth of Soweto and the many children of SCARC," says ADreach Group Human Resources Manager, Roshney Ramdin.

"What a proud moment it is, to see one of SCARC's original club-members develop into such a commendable member of society, and stepping up as a true leader in his own community," says ADreach CEO and SCARC Founding Member, Brad Fisher.
"We are truly fortunate to have been associated with Nkosi for the past five years. It has been an honour to watch him mature into the grown man we now admire and respect," concludes Fisher.
